The Aldford Village Hall Management Committee (AVHMC) is looking for some help from willing volunteers for:
Why volunteer?
Volunteers are at the heart of our charity. They make vital work possible helping to run the Village Hall events, deliver services, and support daily operations, all while keeping costs low. Their passion and enthusiasm bring energy to the Village Hall and help connect it to the local community.
With a wide range of skills, our volunteers offer valuable support that our charity might not otherwise afford. They also act as ambassadors, spreading the word and encouraging others to get involved. Quite simply, without volunteers, keeping our Village Hall alive wouldn't be possible.
Volunteer, meet new people, be part of our community, gain experience and skills, support a great cause and have fun.
Three Villages Charity Garden Open Day
The Three Villages Charity Garden Open Day takes place this year in July, on Sunday the 13th, in over 80 acres of garden at Eaton Hall in aid of the "Three Villages", providing essential financial support to Aldford, Eccleston and Saighton village halls.
We are looking for around 50 enthusiastic volunteers to help on the busy refreshments stall in the Courtyard (serving, waiting tables or helping with the washing up), welcoming and guiding 2000-3000 visitors, stewarding for rides on the steam engine and various other jobs during the day.
It’s a fantastic chance to be part of something meaningful, have fun, and support your local community in a big way.
Volunteer slots - 08:30-13:00, 12:30-17:00 or all day!
AVHMC Secretary
Behind every well-run charity is a great secretary keeping things on track and making sure everything’s done right. We need a volunteer to help with:
Preparing and circulating quarterly and AGM Meeting Agendas
Attending meetings to take and produce minutes
Handling interim correspondence
AVHMC Bookings Coordinator
The Charity Bookings Coordinator keeps things running smoothly by handling all the bookings for events, activities, and services, making sure everything’s in the right place at the right time. This role may be combined with Secretary role. We need a volunteer to help with:
Managing bookings diary & enquiries
Meeting/greeting hirers or arranging for other Committee members to be present
Providing weekly bookings updates to the Committee members on the AVHMC WhatsApp
Liaising with the AVHMC Treasurer for booking invoicing
AVHMC Events Sub-Committee Volunteers
The AVHMC is also looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help organise fundraising events for the Aldford Village Hall. A dedicated sub-committee meets separately from the main AVHMC group.
If you’ve got creative ideas, a bit of spare time, or just a passion for bringing the community together, we’d love to have you on board. Your support will help keep these essential fundraising events fun, fresh, and successful.
If you can spare the time to get involved with any of the above then do give Neil Farbon or Helen Gornall a shout.
